Baron Davis and Carmelo Anthony Both Out vs. Miami

Tonight the Knicks will be slightly short-handed against the Miami Heat. Jared Zwerling tweeted this bit from D'Antoni earlier in the day:
D'Antoni on Baron: "He's a little bit away. He just doesn't have a pop yet, and we're going to wait until he can be NBA ready."
That seems like a good idea to me. No need to rush Baron back, especially when he'll be so crucial to the team later in the season. Get that back 100%, guys!

Also, from ESPN New York, Melo will sit out tonight, and possibly Saturday against Houston. Anthony is shooting just 30% over the past 5 games, and as Mike D'Antoni noted, it's just "crazy" to send him out there if he's not 100%. In that article, Anthony admits to having tried to play"superhero" ball and hide his injuries from the team.

Frankly, what more do the Knicks have to lose besides more games? Might as well try and get everyone healthy, and then get to work. I still believe when everyone on the team is healthy, they can still be very competitive and a real threat in the playoffs. Right now injuries and lack of confidence is hurting them, and those are two large hurdles to get over before they start playing winning basketball.
