Baron Davis and J.R. Smith Might Play Tomorrow

First off, ya'll, sorry for not posting a game recap. As I said in the preview, it was a good friend's birthday and I wasn't around to watch. It'd be kind of lame to try and make judgements based on the box score, so I was going to post some links to other recaps, but I wasn't near a computer for a better part of the day.

Alright, with that out of the way, some news that has been discussed from several sources, but this about sums it up (from Jonah Ballow):
D'Antoni says Melo probably will not play on SUN, JR Smith & Baron Davis could dress & be available against DAL #Knicks
So, that seems pretty good, right? It was sort of looking like Baron Davis might become this year's Kelenna Azubuike. If he's ready to play this week, he'll only see limited minutes, but barring any major setbacks, it seems like he'll most definitely be a part of the rotation by the time All-Star weekend is over. Lin and a healthy Baron Davis could make a mighty fine point guard rotation!

As far as J.R. Smith goes, it would be fun to see him play, but I don't know if he's even gotten to practice with the team. It seems like D'Antoni didn't even know that Smith was ready to go. It seems like it would be better to give Smith a little time to watch the Knicks from the sideline and then let him play in Monday or Wednesday's game. As for Melo, no need to rush him back.

I guess we'll see tomorrow how this all plays out.
