Bill Walker to Have Elbow Surgery

Out the last few weeks with some sort of elbow injury, it seems that Bill Walker is going to miss even more time with surgery:
#Knicks say Bill Walker will have surgery on his left elbow. He's expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
Walker figures to already be out of the rotation, as Carmelo Anthony, Landry Fields, Iman Shumpert, and J.R. Smith all sit ahead of Bully. Not to be a negative Nancy, but this figures to be the end of Bill Walker's season. Four to six weeks takes us anywhere from late March to mid-April. Of course, he'll still have to rehab and get his feel back for the game, so it may be even later than that.

Even if the Knicks were to have injuries to any of those four players listed above, D'Antoni may not insert Walker into the lineup anyway, so he could play a shorter rotation and give other guys more minutes. I have a love-hate relationship with Billy, but this might be the end of his season, which is pretty saddening.
