With Tyson Chandler and Jared Jeffries both out with various leg injuries, the Knicks are quite shallow up front and have thus recalled Jerome Jordan from the D-League. In three games, Jordan averaged 18 ppg on 48% FG, with 9.3 rpg, and 3.3 bpg. Not bad numbers!
As Howard Beck notes in his twupdate Jordan will be available for tomorrow night's game in Milwaukee. I'd imagine that Josh Harrellson will continue to start in Chandler's place, but Jordan will almost definitely see minutes off the bench. How much he can contribute is yet to be determined, but at the very least he gives Jorts and Stoudemire a breather, and uses up some fouls. And being 7-feet tall probably doesn't hurt the Knicks too much inside.
Welcome back, Jerome!
