Knicks Expected to Add Some Coaches Today

Something that has gone somewhat unnoticed (or rarely spoken about) is that with Mike D'Antoni's resignation, Dan D'Antoni and Phil Weber also left. Weber was very helpful on offense and taught a lot of guys to sharpen their jumpshots (David Lee and Amar'e Stoudemire probably most prominently), and Dan D'An was... Mike's brother.

So with only Mike Woodson, Kenny Atkinson, and the indestructible Herb Williams on the bench, the Knicks are looking to hire two more assistants. From Al Iannazzone of Newsday:

Knicks expected to add Darrell Walker and Jim Todd as assistant coaches, probably tomorrow.
Darrell Walker: Darrell played in the NBA for ten years and was actually drafted by the Knicks! He actually almost averaged a triple double one season (9.5 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and 8 apg) which is pretty badass. He was a coach for the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors and was largely unsuccessful, however he only ever coached one entire season. Also, according to his Wiki page, he's in a fraternity! This Knicks team is totally about to bro-out the rest of the season.

Jim Todd: Jim's Wiki page is considerably smaller than Darrell's, but from what I gather from around the web, Jim has spent a lot of time being an assistant coach for teams like the Hawks, Bucks, Clippers, and Raptors, and he and Woodson were both assistant coaches with the Bucks. According to his Wiki, Jim specializes in coaching big men with moves in the post, so that's cool. Also, he resides in Massachusetts with his wife and has a mustache.

So, let's give these guys a warm welcome. When you catch the ball, give us your name and say something about yourself. Go!
